Dear Diane.

These "Diane Tapes" are really a great amusing listen for those of you whom share the same love for the Twin Peaks series.

I Feel like Dying

Haha...Ok..don't be confused by the melodramatic title. I actually had a conversation today about this Lil' Wayne song. Some love it..some think its absolutely retared. I've thought little about this yet still came to this conclusion: I respect both points of view. Nonetheless, I have to admit it peculiar and catchy. (*Oh and please do check youtube and see the variety of people who have decided to lip sync this song..fatties, goths, geeks, 6 years olds with keyboards...) I couldn't help myself and found the sampled track. The sample is from an Aussie pop folk singer named "Karma", the song titled "Once" is pretty depressing...well..oddly enough the girl moved to Miami.. of all places after writing a theatrical song about some serious issues with the powder white..who would have thought...
anyways.

Karma's: Once
Lil Wayne's: I feel like dying

Smoking and Drinking with no Reason to Celebrate.

I'll bring it back to something a bit closer to what most people can agree on and enjoy (*with all that rappy rap I felt bad leaving some of you out). Each song on here I could listen to over and over. Its like a Sweater in the Fall. Its like Smoking and Drinking with no reason to celebrate. Fuck it...Get on your bike and do what you like.

Rappy Rap #3

Hello Folks! It's tuesday.. basically a day of the eternal Doldrum..(*and when I say doldrum i mean: A region of the ocean near the equator, characterized by calms, light winds, or squalls.) So to battle the squalls and light winds I give you some more great 90's rappy rap. The intro samples possibly one of my favorite songs ever made titled "Can we pretend?" by Bill Withers. Annalillia is just a classic from Aceyalone's first solo album "All Balls Don't Bounce". Any of you who like Rich Boy's "Throw some D's" will appreciate UGK's delivery on "Pocket full of Stones". There have been several memorable Posse cuts..the most famous would have to be the Juice Crew All Stars Track...as an Homage the D&D studios' "1,2 Pass it" is also just a classic great funtime track. Cabfare makes Bob James' Taxi theme into an addictive backdrop of multiple perspectives of some taxi cab confessions. Although there are several other notable tracks I'll wrap this up saying....THE DANGER ZONE

Bonus Friday!

Well, I'm feeling generous and I feel slightly bad that I didnt get a rappy rap mix up this week. Stay Tuned! In the meantime..here is Aceyalones, "Book of Human Language" I can't recall how many times while conversing about rap stuff this album comes up as peoples favorite top 10. So please.. get in backpacker mode.. get a pair of big Studio headphones and take the time to enjoy this amazing introspective album.

SkeetSkurt

There's things one should never be proud of..being a raver is one of them. When I think of electronic music I think of designers in black framed glasses listening to Intelligent Dance Music (*translates to: indecipherable robotsfucking noises) while kerning type and drinking lattes... Electronic music much like raving it is something I do not admit to having any relations with...Possibly because if you say electronic..they think you mean electronica...which makes almost anyone imagine someone who thinks Ibiza is heaven on earth and the sound of really repetative, loud, boring robotsfucking..is good MUSIC....yet again I digress..I can say..here are some things..that I listen to which may or may not be electronic music. Yet, overall good music to kern to..uh..I mean work to..

as always heres the suggested play order..and be sure to set the playback overlap to 6 seconds or so.

The Rappy Rap 90's edition part 2

Well time for another Rappy Rap session...This week as a few gems. Pete Rock and Cl Smooth's "One in a Million" featured on the Poetic Justice soundtrack...Janet in a mail truck...I'm saying! KMD's "What a Nigga Know?" *please note MF Grimms verse one of my favorites. "Fallin'" by De La and Teenage Fanclub **the odd tom petty nod. Brand Nubian's "Punks Set Up to Get Beat Down" which must have been on 20 mixtapes i purchased as a lad..."john theyre stealing part 2" ....i'll steal the ice out of your fridge and leave the food...ok I'm losing focus here, let me get to the superfluous info....Heres a list of the preferred play order I also suggest to set your itunes crossfade playback at around 6 seconds (its in preference under playback).

Up, Up, Down, Down, Left, Right, Left, Right, B, A, Select, Start

Some ponderings and revelations need the proper music...Samus is a girl? Mario's last name is Mario...and his first name is Mario...so...his name is Mario Mario...which means Luigi is Luigi Mario...hmm...The Advantage..."Elf Titled" if your curiosity isn't picqued by the album artwork alone.. I don't know what to say.
