Dante Ross Interview.

There's these people who are forever associated with the golden/silver age of rap music but aren't necessarily known outside of nerds like the people who do this blog, hip hop kids that grew up on wkcr stretch and bob shows and some like ridiculous backpacking nerd..But anyways..with that being said..people like Dante Ross should be applauded. They've been around the block when it comes to the rise and fall of music industry, know everything and everyone and do it for the love of the game. I can respect that.

(oh yeah the interview starts at the bottom of the page..so just don't mistake that.)

I hope you like it.

I'd also like to add, that Jeremy Klein uses the Ducktales song in his video part from World Industries Rubbish Heap (1989). I always thought it was Life Force or Gradius. A little more awesome that it was Ducktales. Thanks for the memories Kiji. - JLee

Sweater Weather 4

I'm loving the enthusiasm from the newest contributors. I've been MIA for a minute but I thought I'd provide another sweater weather mix as we wind down and transition from winter to spring. If anything these songs might provide a nice arc while working.

MOZoleum

This is my introductory post to the blog. I don't really know what to say, so I bring to you a 2 part mix of Morrissey. Mostly filled with what I think are the not as popular "best of" or "known unknowns" as 3-six mafia eloquently puts it.

The tracklist is in chronological order including some songs from his newest album.

p.s. When you load it into your itunes, you can find the playlist as a whole if "grouping" is checked visible on your view options. Just so you don't have random tracks floating around in playlists.

Trains & Mountains

Hello, this is a new mix entitled, 'Trains & Mountains'. This is inspired from my Dad (The Silver Fox). He got me into trains when I was a teenager. He was a brakeman in the 70's in Detroit. The Ole Fox also worked @ the ford plant putting doors on automobiles. Later working @ Kodak film for a long time. I actually forgot one of his favorite songs, 'The Weight' by The Band (next time). Anyhoot, these are some of my favorite railroad tunes. The cover is hand drawn & then cleaned up in adobe illustrator. It was fun to create. Stay grand...

Take care & please enjoy!
