Hello Bay Area! Stussy Presents: DIET

Hey folks. I'll be in the Bay tomorrow morning to help my friend Diet install his show at the Stussy Space on Haight st. If you're in the Bay Area and can come definitely stop by. If you know anyone in the Bay tell them to come through! It's curated by White Walls Gallery..so you know its going to be great.

You Only Live Once

There's always a good amount of apprehension when someone wants to introduce you to someone but they preface it by saying "you're either going to totally love them or hate them, no really they're great". Well, thats this mix, that is if you could call it that, I'm pretty sure this is a frankenstein version of another mix. so apologies if there are some duplicate tracks from old mixes..honestly though..have you really been listening to all of them?

Magic

I'm usually pretty whatever about every white dude I know being hyped on lil wayne (no offense dudes) but this video is definitely something special. It can cure hangovers..in some magical stripclubbish way.

Some behind the scene green screen action.I'm dying laughing looking at the people in their costumes off set.

Shows: They don't make them like they used to.

Barfight

Barfight by Christy Karacas & Stephen Warbick, I'm looking forward to their show, Superjail on Adultswim. he's also in this band:Cheeseburger, they're pretty good.
Oh..also.. here's an earlier student work, you can see see a bit of the process of ideas being incorporated later on Space War.

Chainsaw Maid

Over the Covers Under the Sheets

Covers are interesting. They can emphasize lyrics and moments in songs that were not necessarily apparent in the original. They can be the greatest homage or the oddest and sometimes worst butchering of something classic and irreplaceable. They tend to reaffirm the reason we fell in love with the song in the first place or if anything why the musicians who played it originally are so damn good at what they do. Covers are something to argue over, tug on and discard amongst your daily toss and turns.

All Hail the Killer Whale: Andre Nickatina

This one is long overdue. For anyone familiar with Nickatina you've probably heard a majority of these but I hope there are a few on here that make it worth a listen. As for those of you who haven't listened to Nickatina nows your chance.
