Who Don't Like Punk #2

NKOTB,

Hello, this is a new mix entitled, 'Who Don't Like Punk #2'. Its by my Uncle Peter. & I quote...

"Hey Benito!!!

Glad you like the mixes I sent. Like most outsider art it's important to rescue it from the narrow conservative stereo types that the media and modern day devotees both in equally obnoxious ways perpetuate.

I find elements of what I call punk in everything from Woody Guthrie, early Grateful Dead, Reggae to Rap. Both political and apolitical reactions to oppression of the working class. Both simple and complex. Extreme . . . whether it's volume, speed, atonality, smashing or pissing on the status-quo, looking for a release, looking for a solution, the audacity of youth, the frustration of youth. D.I.Y. (do it yourself) culture, celebration of the immediate and a breeding ground for those who just don't belong.

caio,

- Peter"

^Uncle Peter is awesome. Track #4 "Virginia Plain" by Roxy Music is currently on repeat. Who Don't Like Punk #3 is the best of the trilogy & its on the way. stay tuned...

Take care & please enjoy!
