Blue Print 2.2
Normally I dont repost, but this idea is pretty awesome. Haven't heard it yet cause the audio no worky on my computer, so I'll let the guy who made it speak for himself...
So over the last few weeks, I’ve put together my own edit of Jay-Z’s The Blueprint 2 using tracks from the original album, the 2.1 re-release, and other Jay-Z tracks of the time period. I’ve also made a few surgical cuts to the tracks themselves (shortened intros/outros, removed unnecessary guests, etc.) all in the name of making a better, more “Blueprint” worthy listening experience. And all of which is documented in the liner notes that come with it... Thanks Dave. Get your music on

Hood Birthday: Birthday Edition
Everyone loves Mobb Deep. We all know by now that I love Shaq, Tragedy Khadafi (Intelligent Hoodlum) and Onyx is a no brainer. What do these things have to do with each other? Its called the Unreleased files of Mobb Deep. This whole thing is pretty amazing, but the track with Shaq is crazy. Remember, if it's Hood Birthday its gotta be birthday.

Best of Killarmy
Killarmy is (4th Disciple, 9th Prince, Beretta 9, Dom Pachino, Islord, Killa Sin, & ShoGun the Assasson). I remember in '97 when my brother would give me a ride to school he would blast 'Silent Weapons For Quiet Wars'. I remember how blown away I was when listening to it. That album is a masterpiece/classic cause I still blast it to this day. I remember when it was 9/11/01 & 'Fear, Love & War' came out. I can nerd out forever on these albums. This album I created is a carefully placed summary of their work.
It's late 90's militant rap @ its finest...
Take care & please enjoy!

Hood Tuesday: Welcome to Harlem World part 2
Big L formed, Harlem approved. Big L, Killa Cam, Murda Mase, Bloodshed and Herb McGruff (star of out last visit to Harlem Rap town) formed The Children of The Corn. After Bloodshed died, Cam went to college and Mase went to Bad Boy. Fast forward L got bucked up and while a great start for these boys, nothing happened with this material (aside from mixtapes and such) until 2003. A little late but as promised, enjoy Children of the Corn

Ras Kass is one of the realest dudes of all time, and these are the demo versions of one of the best rap albums of all time. Albeit a little wordy in places never has Ras sounded iller. PS, it sounds like this was recorded on a four track in someones closet. Enjoy.

Soundtrack Jams
I think someone made one of these here before. These are all movies I enjoy, without (most of it) being TOO soundtracky in terms of jamage. Left off Herbie Hancock and Deathwish cause the Morante and the Vangelis cover that base quite well. Click here for movie jam time

Hood Tuesday: Welcome to Harlem World
Enter Herb McGruff, one of the members of the Children of The Corn Crew (coming next week...) that also featured Murda Mase, Killa Cam, Big L and Bloodshed (R.I.P). This is an EP of his that was made mad long ago but wasn't available until last year. It only got pressed in an edition of 200. I'm sorry I've been so wack about posting, this should help the healing process and remember. If its Tuesday I'm sorry for not keeping it hood.

Sorry Tim, no Pootie Tang, but there is Shaq
Bumped into a chum-rade of mine a few days ago and we got to talking about Pootie Tang. Prince Paul made most of the music for the movie, upon further research Paul and Louis C.K. (Louis C.K. wrote and directed the movie) made most of the music, but only the new shit for the movie. Score type stuff. The soundtrack is what I have, can't find the score anymore...so here's some Shaq. Boasting production credits from K-Cut from Main Source, Ali Shaheed and Erick Sermon, this albums really not that bad, and at points is pretty fucking ill. My mom copped this for me years back when she still handled the music, just re bought the cd today. Never Been happier. I know I got skills man, I know I got Skills man

Endless Bummer Mix
I was walking down my block and ran into an old co-worker of mine. He is rare record collector/seller, I'm talking about a serious collection. Anyways, running into him reminded me that he gave me some great untitled songs a few years back so I thought I'd share. If you figure out who they're by and what they're titled. I'll give you a prize.
